Better Business Decisions Through Feng Shui

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

Could Feng Shui have saved investors from losing billions to Bernard Madoff? Yes!

In Madoff’s office, a Classical Feng Shui practitioner would have been able to see absolute indications of “secrets”. A series of numerical calculations could literally have seen the future: this was a man with secrets who could not be trusted with money.

How can Classical Feng Shui reveal what’s coming? This science uses numbers to analyze how the unseen energies of a place are interacting with the visiting planetary influences. The numbers that result from the calculations can then be translated: a certain combination of numbers, for instance, might reveal an unfavorable environment for partnership coupled with an indication of secrets. The relations between these numerical combinations and real-world outcomes has been revealed – and proven – over more than 5,000 years that Feng Shui has been practiced.

Thus, when authentic Feng Shui is performed correctly, it can be used to predict and forecast what is going to take place in a location. For instance, a consultation might reveal that a particular building was charged with unseen energies that could lead to high expenses, revenue shortfalls, a hostile takeover, etc. When such inauspicious energies are found, Feng Shui can also be used to minimize the potential negative outcomes.

Here are three examples of how Feng Shui “number power” can work for your business:

1. Early-warning on problems developing inside a business. One of my clients was looking to buy a small retail business. In using Classical Feng Shui, I looked at the location of the business and the date on which it was started by the present owner. I saw strong indications that there were “secrets” going on in the business and advised my client to get the books checked. He said an initial audit had already shown that the books were fine. Because the energetic pattern so clearly indicated dishonesty and something hidden, I strongly urged him to get a second opinion — and thankfully he did. The second audit revealed that the buyer of this business would inherit a $200,000 IRS debt which was buried in the sales contract. Once the client learned of this, he immediately dropped his plans to purchase the business, saving himself from a financial disaster.

The future of a business – or investments — can also be revealed by looking at the home of the business owner or investor. In the case of the Madoff scam, the energies in the homes of every investor who lost money through Madoff’s firm would have indicated a HUGE money loss.

That’s why it’s prudent to have an authentic Feng Shui practitioner conduct an annual assessment of both your home and business. By staying alert to potential dangers — or beneficial energies — you work with rather than against the energies shaping your fortunes.

2. Insights into relationship and partnerships. You can be the absolute best in the business, but making the wrong choices about everyone from vendors to partners can handicap your success. A perfect example is John McCain and his vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin. Now we all know that Sarah made some major media mistakes, and many political analysts even said that her inexperience was one of the reasons McCain lost the election. Yes, all that is certainly true from a wordly view. However, when you look at the numbers between the two, what you see is eerie: The numbers in Sarah Palin’s natal chart clearly showed that she would cause McCain defeat. He probably selected her to win women voters. If, instead, he’d had an authentic Feng Shui consultant “run the numbers,” he might have weighed his options and chosen a running mate with more power to support his success.

I’ll also give you a personal example of how those numbers make a difference: A while ago, I needed to retain an attorney. I got referrals from friends and colleagues and weighed each attorney’s relevant expertise. In making my final decision, however, I compared each attorney’s numbers to my own birthdate and the timing. The numbers told me exactly which attorney would give me the highest success. I chose that attorney. Though my case seemed to present a number of challenges, she handled my case with amazing success — the ruling went so completely my way that I was in awe of what happens when you work with the right energetic partner!

3. Choosing the right dates for proposals, deals and other major endeavors. Just as the planetary influences at the time of your birth establish your personal horoscope, the planetary influences on the day you start a particular venture establish your business and financial horoscope. For instance, if you buy stock on a day when there is money luck in your chart, you’ll make money. If luck is missing that day, I guarantee you won’t make money. If a daytrader were to review all the dates on which he bought stock in a given month, he would find that stocks with the biggest rates of return were all picked on 4 to 5 certain days within that month when the planets were aligned in his favor. The same applies to opening up a bank account on a particular date. I know westerners may find this silly, but in Asia, people will not schedule major business actions without checking whether the date is auspicious for that particular type of action. Remember, however, that a date that is auspicious for one person may not be auspicious for another person — the personal horoscopes must be considered in conjunction with the business horoscope.

Suppose, for example, that you want to incorporate your new business. Choosing an auspicious date is critical because it becomes the birthdate of your business. Through Feng Shui, you can look ahead and find a date that is marked for you with money-making potential. I had a client whose business simply limped along despite all the hard work she poured into it. After analyzing her incorporation date, I suggested she close the old corporation and reincorporate on a new date. Within less than 6 weeks of reincorporating on a date that had strong money-luck potential, her business started booming like she had never experienced before. She wasn’t working harder — but her business horoscope was now working with her rather than against her.

Consider date-selection Feng Shui before you open bank accounts, submit business proposals, buy cars, or make any major purchase. Note, too, that date selection can make a difference in your personal life, particularly if you are selecting a wedding date or preparing to undergo in vitro fertilization.

Unlock a Life Bursting with Prosperity, Love and Purpose

Friday, March 23rd, 2012

I know that ancient sciences are built on the eternal spiritual truths that underlie all religions and must be treated with respect.  I also know that we are connected to everything in this world – not just our immediate environment, but to the unseen energies of stars, planets and spiritual forces. When you unify practices like spirituality and meditation with the wisdom of energy sciences like astrology, Feng Shui, Vaastu, and numerology you align your life with eternal spiritual truths and profound power to change your life.

Stop living on autopilot! If we’re not careful, we can wind up living on autopilot – not feeling we have any real control over the course of our lives or the confusion, chaos and frustration we experience.  But what if I told you that you do have control … tremendous control! … and that you can exercise it immediately with actions as simple as choosing the right date to open a bank account, deflecting negative energies in your home, or even wearing the right color clothes to send energetic vibrations that help others feel a positive connection with you before you even say a word.

The secret, however, is that the secrets change. There is no one “wealth corner” in your home.  There is no one “health color.”  A Feng Shui “cure” that stilled negative energy in March could stifle cash flow in April – unless it’s moved.  Why?  Because energy moves and our relationship to the stars, planets, positive forces, and negative forces is always changing, too.

The secret is to change with these energies. And now, I’ll show you how — with my monthly teleseminar series.  Sign up now!

10 Top Classical Feng Shui Tips to Ensure Your Front Door Isn’t Sabotaging Your Success

Monday, March 19th, 2012

An expert Classical Feng Shui consultant will be able to tell about 75% of what’s happening in your life by analyzing your front entrance, bedroom and kitchen. Sounds unbelievable, but it’s not. Advanced Classical Feng Shui formulas can forecast the impact these areas will have on occupants of the home. The more people who pass through a doorway, the more active the flow of energy and the more influential the door becomes. While these calculations are tied to the unique energy makeup of you and your home, these general principles can help you ensure that your front door radiates positive energy:

1. Your front door creates a first impression for you and others who enter. A home with a welcoming entrance will put visitors at ease and attract good fortune. The path leading to your doorway should be clear and open so that there are no obstacles blocking the flow of energy into your home. Remove old newspapers, garden hoses, bicycles, overgrown or dead plants and trees. Keeping the path open allows good opportunities to flow into your life. Also clean away any cobwebs. Having an attractive doormat, and planting lush flowers and plants along the walkway and near the front entrance encourages good energy to enter your home and makes your home more inviting.

2. A front door that opens clockwise into the home channels more energy inside. All doors should open fully and easily. Remove anything placed behind a door that doesn’t allow it to open completely. Re-consider any self-closing mechanisms – or anything that lets a door open or close automatically: your door should symbolize that you are in control. Are you feeling beset by one obstacle after another? Get out your oil can and eliminate any squeaks, creaks or locks that are hard to open. Repair and spruce up your front door as soon it shows any of these signs of wear and tear.

3. A solid front door is better than a glass door and provides more protection and support. Glass paneling above the door is okay. Your house number or name should be clearly visible. Positioning the individual numbers of your address on an upward slant is auspicious too. The clearer the identification, the better it is for your career, recognition and an active social life.

4. Your front door should be proportionate in size to the home. If it is too large, it can cause financial difficulty and opportunities to be lost. If it is too small, it can create discord within the family. Also, if the front door is made up of two panel sections, then they should be equal in size and color.

5. Your front door should not face churches, cemeteries or funeral homes. These places illicit a tremendous amount of yin energy and can potentially cause depression, illness, fears and the potential for financial loss. You can plant bushes, small trees or add a retaining wall to obstruct the view from these unfortunate sites. However, do not plant a single tree directly in line with your front door since it will block beneficial energy from entering your home.

6. Your front door should not face telephone poles or sharp corners (known as poison arrows) from neighboring rooftops or buildings. The electromagnetic voltage emanating from electrical stations or telephone poles can cause health difficulties. And poison arrows pointing at your front door can cause bad luck, illness amongst children or even problems in career or business. While it is best to avoid such an entrance, you can plant small trees to block the view. A more expensive cure would be to reorient the front door.

7. Your front entrance should not face a narrow gap between two buildings. If so, it can potentially cause your savings to be squandered away. In both authentic Feng Shui and Vaastu, what you see is what you get. So, no “gaps” and neither should your front door face a dumpster or garbage heap — not even one that is far away. (I know this seems like common sense but just recently I saw a few homes facing this.) By hiding the view, you will minimize the negative effects coming from an adverse site. Plant small bushes or add a small retaining wall to cover up any such sight.

8. Your front door should preferably open into a large bright foyer or a living room. It should feel warm and welcoming. You should not be greeted by a wall when entering your home. On a subconscious level, it is as if you are daily walking into a wall which is blocking you as you try to move forward in life. Place a picture on this wall that has depth and dimension to it. You could place a mirror on a side wall but do not place a mirror directly in front of the main door.

9. In Asian countries, people will take off their shoes just inside the front entrance. Just imagine all the dust, dirt and dead energy our shoes bring into our home. Taking shoes off not only keeps your home purer, it keeps you more grounded to your home’s beneficial earth energies. As C. Jung said, “When you walk with naked feet, how can you forget the earth.” If you do remove your shoes when entering your home, keep them in a closet rather than blocking the front entrance. Culturally, westerners may not have the same outlook. So it is important then to at least clean and replace your doormat regularly since it also absorbs dirt, dust and stagnant energy.

10. If you enter through your garage door or another side entrance, then that door serves as your main entrance. The first place you come into when entering your home influences your state of mind. It is important than that this area also be clean and organized. Place a welcome sign in the garage or greet yourself with an inspirational photo or saying that makes you smile. Paint the room an attractive color and beautify this space just as you would the formal entrance.

In essence, the experience of entering your home should be like meeting a best friend — one who is warm, welcoming and ready to support you and put you at ease. By making the adjustments recommended above, your warm, welcoming entrance will help attract good fortune to your home.

Classical Feng Shui: How Classical Feng Shui Can Strengthen Your Cash Flow

Friday, March 16th, 2012

In this weak economy, it simply takes longer to close deals. In fact, I’m hearing from more and more business people who are frustrated that even customers who are still in a strong financial position seem to be in a holding mode – waiting to see what happens before they make any decisions. Clearly, keeping cash flow strong is a huge concern. Fortunately, as my clients will attest, Classical Feng Shui can give you an extra edge in attracting and landing new business – and even new careers.

As always, I must emphasize that harnessing authentic Feng Shui to stimulate cash flow requires calculations based on your unique horoscope, the layout of your home or office, and the monthly energetic shifts in the environment. That said, I’d like to share with you five general tips that can help you quickly improve your cash flow situation.

1. Consider placing a moving water fountain in the west sector of your home. This year a “prosperous” planetary influence is visiting the west. A fountain with clean water that runs continuously can activate the unseen energies which have the potential to bring about “money luck”. Do keep in mind, however, that this is a general tip. For example, with my own clients, depending on their specific horoscope and what area of the home or office occupies the west sector, I may not recommend water or I may recommend combining water with additional recommendations to further strengthen the pull of positive money energy.

2. Be mindful of the colors in your home office, workplace and home. Just recently, I was in a small business and just from observing the energetic make-up of the interior – particularly the vibration of colors — I could tell at once that this business was experiencing cash flow problems. (And this was a business that should have been thriving despite the current economic situation!) Now, there are no “bad” colors. The problem comes when certain colors combine with other unseen energies. A color that offers a calm, peaceful vibration in the bedroom, can be disastrous in a home office. Blue, for example, is one of the colors that should be used cautiously. While blue alone will not spell disaster, it can often combine with other energies to eventually depress your cash flow.

3. Clean out the old to make way for the new. Clutter weighs down the energies around you. Clutter is anything in your environment that is in disrepair or that you no longer like or use. It’s anything that is unfinished, in disorder, messy or stacked up. You have to physically create “space” in order to attract “things” into your life. Pay special attention to your desk: Clear away objects that sabotage energy flow. Clutter isn’t just messy; it’s a magnet for attracting negative energy. If your desk and floor are scattered with unfinished projects, papers, files and mail, energy can’t flow freely. Trapped energy either goes stagnant or builds up into a force that can make you feel jittery, overwhelmed, irritable, fatigued or depressed. In such an environment, you’ll find it’s hard to concentrate and complete tasks. Clean out your file drawers. It’s a basic principle of physics that nature abhors a vacuum – so clear your space and fresh, new things will flow into your life. If your business is slow right now, try decluttering and see if new clients don’t quickly appear!

4. Get rid of clients. In this weak economy, who can afford to get rid of clients, right? Wrong! Holding onto clients who don’t value you or who give you a hard time about payments can depress the energetic make-up of your business environment. Get rid of clients who no longer serve you and – as in #3 above – you create room for fresh, new clients to come into your life.

5. Expect wealth. Today’s headlines can be scary. But don’t allow yourself to fall into a pattern of fear. This vibration will not only attract more fear to you, it will activate the negative energies that may already exist in your home or office environment. Even in this tough economy, I have clients who are pulling in money, raises and abundance because that is the kind of energy they are attracting. So, for robust cash flow, combine powerful “wealth thoughts” with exterior projections of those thoughts: keep your front entrance vibrant and fresh, keep your office or retail space shining, and do everything you can to get your environment ready to welcome a steady flow of wealth and good fortune!

The Science of Classical Feng Shui

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

Have you ever wondered why some places make you feel tense or uneasy, while other places give you a feeling of calm and vitality? The reason is that the earth’s magnetic field and universal energies exert a profound influence. In fact, every geographic direction emits a different quality of energy. We feel the “pull” of all these energies because our brain and body are electrical conductors. In the brain, for instance, the thalamus serves as the relay center for sensory and motor activities. Neurological research shows that when you face different directions, the neurons in the thalamus fire in different patterns.

Science also accepts that at a cellular level the body responds to the different directions. For example, mitochondria – the tiny parts that give a cell its energy – line up differently according to the direction in which you sleep.

By aligning your body with certain energies or a specific magnetic axis, the “pull” of these natural forces flow with you rather than against you. Things seem more effortless and less of a struggle and you feel supported.

Clutter In Your Home Equals Chaos In Your Life!

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Are you often confused or exhausted? Do you find yourself overwhelmed with emotional issues? Are you disorganized? Do you procrastinate? Then clutter may be the cause.

Clutter isn’t just a big pile of old newspapers. It’s anything that is unfinished, in disorder, messy, or stacked up. Clutter is anything in your environment that is in disrepair or that you no longer like or use. Even a house with naturally good Feng Shui or Vaastu can be weighed down by the negative energy of clutter. And since those “clutter energies” pull you in a dozen directions at once, it’s no wonder you have to try so hard to think clearly, make good decisions or simply get things done.

What to do? Start by throwing out things you no longer want, need or love. This automatically makes space for new positive things to come into your life. As we know from physics, nature abhors a vacuum. The minute you create an empty space, the universe seeks to refill it, sending good, fresh things your way.

Case in point: my client was hoping to meet a man with whom she could have a long-term relationship. In the meantime, however, she felt lonely and filled her life with men she enjoyed physically, but knew were not “relationship material”. She wondered why the right man never came along. I suggested she de-clutter her life of these distractions. She did — and very soon afterward met a wonderful man and they are now dating “seriously” and looking to the future.

I have another client who tells me she gets new clients every time she cleans out her old office files.

Even my daughter knows the power of “making space”. Every time she cleans out her closet, new clothes appear! No kidding — within days of getting rid of the clothes she no longer likes or wears, a parcel will appear out of nowhere. Out of the blue, my sisters or mother send her some new clothes because they were out shopping and were thinking of her. I never say a word to them – it just happens. I’m so lucky my daughter has discovered this secret! Not all mothers get such an eager response when they tell their children to clean up their rooms!

What do you want to attract for the remainder of 2011? Whatever it is, start today by creating the space for those new opportunities to flow in!

Start in your office. Toss email and papers you no longer need, clear your address books of old names, delete old computer files, get old photos out of your digital camera, clear out your cell phone’s list of names and numbers – get rid of any item that’s not useful, beautiful or beloved. If something is broken, fix it or toss it – otherwise it’s simply unfinished business.

Next, de-clutter your home! Clear out junk. Keep only items that you love or use and that represent your essence and enhance your life. If you don’t know where to begin, start by taking just half an hour a day to clear clutter from small areas like kitchen drawers or to target those no-brainers like newspapers and magazines, junk mail, broken items, expired foods and old prescriptions. As you build momentum, work your way to larger areas.

As you begin to do this, you will feel lighter, more energetic, and you will gain a sense of control over your environment. The added bonus is that by creating an abundance of space, you free room for abundance to flow into your life.

Remember, it doesn’t matter if you’re at work, at home, or even in a temporary situation like a hotel room: you are energetically attached to every single object in your environment. Having more stuff isn’t necessarily a good thing: an Indian Saint once said that “our material desires are just like coins in our pockets, they weigh us down”. Be careful about loading up your space with objects and with people. Every object either nourishes or depletes your energy. Spare, uncluttered spaces can be elegantly luxurious, allowing energy – and abundance – to flow freely. Still, if you feel happiest surrounded by many things, that’s fine. Just be sure to avoid creating stagnant energy – and getting stuck and surrounded by chaos – by keeping every object scrupulously clean, orderly and in good repair.

Feng Shui & Vaastu: It’s Serious Business

Monday, March 5th, 2012

The way your office is set up, where you place your desk, the colors you use, and even the lighting all have an effect on how you do business. Authentic Feng Shui can help you clear away negative energies – and energy blockages – that can sabotage efficiency, productivity and profitability. Advanced Classical Feng Shui formulas can even forecast where and when risks and opportunities might arise and what you can do to assure the greatest possible benefit.

While these calculations and even basic furniture placement are tied to the unique energy makeup of you and your office, these three general principles can help you create a supportive work environment.

1. Clear away objects that sabotage energy flow. Problems build up, creativity suffers and conflicts arise. Every item should have a designated home where you can find and easily access it. Take time to organize your files and use them so you don’t have to keep pieces of paper “in sight” just so you’ll know where they are. Clear the jumble from your desktop so that your eye – and the energy in your space – have calm places to rest. And don’t forget the jumble on your computer: regularly clear away unnecessary email and files.

2. Reposition your desk. A sizable and neatly arranged desk attracts power and confidence. As a general rule, the best position for a desk is in the far right corner diagonally opposite from the door with your back to the wall or catty corner to the wall. In addition, try to avoid these three situations:

Don’t put your desk in a direct line with the door. The energy coming from another office or hallway can cause discomfort. You may find yourself unable to concentrate and want to leave your desk.

Don’t sit with your back to the door. You should have a clear view of the room and office door. This gives you energetic control over the space which, in turn, attracts energies that support you in feeling capable, relaxed, and confident.

Don’t sit at a desk that places you directly under an exposed overhead beam. That beam can concentrate energies in the area right over your head. If you spend eight or ten hours at your desk, you could find you suffer from headaches and you could literally feel you are “under too much pressure.”

3. Balance your office lighting. Lighting doesn’t just affect your eyes or even your mood. It also affects the energy in your office. Light – even sunlight – that is too bright creates an excessively “yang” energy that can cause agitation, conflict, and difficulty concentrating. By the same token, light that’s too dim creates an excessively “yin” energy that can produce fatigue and make it difficult to project a confident, capable presence. Feng Shui principles help balance your office’s lighting so that it’s bright enough to energize the space without disrupting harmony and concentration. Consider using natural spectrum light bulbs – they provide a more balanced light than traditional bulbs. Outfit windows with blinds that can filter and direct sunlight to prevent harsh shadows and glare. Consider desk lamps – they give you more flexibility in adjusting your overall lighting and then help balance the glare your computer screen can produce.
